What is Eugenia?

Up here the air is thick with fog and mystery,

the veil is thin, and something new has made

its way into our world.

Eugenia is immergent art.

Where immersive art builds worlds to escape into, immergent art opens portals into the one we already share.

Eugenia grows from the cracks — a sculptural organism expanding through Eugene.

Each manifestation is a collaboration: artists, materials, and hosts contributing to a single, continuous creature.

Think of it as a fungal network of wonder, spreading through storefronts, cafes, alleyways, and forgotten corners

— inviting people to look closer at the world that’s already alive beneath our feet.

Eugenia is a living sculpture project

growing throughout Eugene, Oregon.

Each installation — or manifestation — takes root in a different space:

a café corner, a storefront window, an alley, a studio.

The work blends sculpture, community collaboration, and narrative —

a space where new artists can experiment and add their voice to

the creature’s evolution.

At its core, Eugenia is a flexible platform:

part gallery, part residency, part public experiment.

Each host site becomes a new ecosystem,

shaped by its environment and contributors.

The goal is to connect artists, local businesses, and the curious public through

a shared act of creation

— transforming everyday spaces into

portals of attention and wonder.

“The world is not finished

and we are not finished with it.”
